By necessity of a memorandum dated 12 April 2019, the Ministry of Communications ('Ministry') instructed all prospective applications for Equipment Type Approval (ETA) through self-declaration on the SARAL SANCHAR Portal.
All applicants must apply through a newly established online facility at the SaralSanchar Portal URL http://saralsanchar.gov.in to obtain ETA/import for products falling within the category "ETA by self-declaration." This will be mandatory as of 1 May 2019.
In the event of any issue in the application, the applicant may adopt the existing procedure by sending an e-mail to etaselfdecl.wpc-dot@gov.in by 30 April 2019.
